On March 5, 2024, shortly after midnight, Boise Police Officers were dispatched to a reported shooting at an apartment on the 3300 block of N. Lakeharbor Ln. Responding officers located an adult male victim lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to his stomach and they began rendering lifesaving care until paramedics arrived. Officers cleared the apartment and located an adult female and child unharmed. The suspect, identified as Javon Harmon, was detained in the parking lot outside of the apartment. The victim was transported to the hospital but later died from his injuries. Detectives interviewed multiple people determined to be in or near the apartment at the time of the shooting and following an investigation, Harmon was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail on the listed charge.
