Arrested: Ryan Owens, 43, Kuna
Charges: Weapon-Unlawful Discharge at a House, Occupied Building, Vehicle, etc (F)
On October 7, 2023, at 7:43 pm, Boise Police responded to a report of shots fired near W. Fulton St and S. Capitol Blvd. Evidence indicates the suspect brandished a firearm during a disturbance and fired several rounds into the area before fleeing on foot. Responding officers secured the scene and did an area search for the suspect. Officers located the suspect at Julia Davis Park, and he was taken into custody without incident. The suspect was identified as Ryan Owens and he was booked into Ada County Jail. There were no reported injuries. The investigation is ongoing. Patrol Officers recovered a firearm and ammo near where the suspect was taken into custody. Meridian Police also responded and assisted BPD with the investigation.
