On July 9, 2023, around 4:15pm Boise Police responded to a motorcycle crash near E Gowen Road and I-84. One motorcycle rider was rushed to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. After a preliminary investigation evidence showed the adult female motorcycle rider was westbound on Gowen Road at the intersection for the entrance to westbound I-84. The driver of another vehicle was traveling eastbound on Gowen Rd and making a left turn to access the westbound onramp for I-84. The collision occurred in the intersection. The Boise Police Crash Reconstruction Team and detectives responded to the scene to continue the investigation.
Sadly, the motorcycle rider passed away from her injuries at the hospital. Her name will be released by the Ada County Coroner pending notification of next of kin. The crash investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed at this time.
