On December 19, 2023, around 11:20 am Boise Police responded to reported road rage that involved a firearm on Eagle Road near Wainwright. Preliminary information indicated that the victim witnessed another vehicle driving recklessly, changing lanes, tailgating, and speeding, and the victim honked at the suspect. Additional information indicated that at a stop light, the suspect pulled up next to the victim, even though there was room in front of the suspect to pull up to the intersection. During that interaction, the suspect retrieved a firearm and pointed it at the roof of his car while looking at the victim and indicating that the victim should follow him. The victim indicated he was calling 911 and the suspect drove off. BPD was able to locate the vehicle involved and eventually locate the suspect driving the vehicle at the time of the reported road rage. Through further investigation officers located the firearm and evidence showed the suspect, identified as Julian Maksout, was also in possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail on the listed charges.
