Arrested: Dimitri Hanian, 19, Meridian
Charges: Unlawful discharge at an occupied dwelling (F), Enhancement- using a deadly weapon in commission of a felony (F)
Around 3:15 this afternoon, Boise Police responded to a report of shots fired outside a home in the area of Cloverdale and Fairview. Initial reports indicated that a suspect fired several shots at an occupied home, striking the home, before getting into a vehicle and fleeing the scene. As the suspect drove away he crashed into a nearby trailer and continued driving. Officers immediately began working to secure the scene, identify a suspect and locate the person. No one was found to be injured. Based on evidence, officers identified the suspect as Dimitri Hanian. Around 3:45 p.m. officers located Hanian and his vehicle, a silver 2010 Chrysler 300, near Brynwood Dr and W. Crestwood Dr. Hanian and the occupants of the home near Cloverdale and Fairview are known to each other. After further investigation, officers took Hanian into custody and he was booked into the Ada County Jail on the listed charges.
Detectives are also investigating another incident around the same time and in the same area. Just after 3:15 p.m. officers received a report from a witness of a road rage that occurred on Cloverdale involving a vehicle traveling north from Fairview. A suspect driving a silver 2010 Chrysler 300 and carrying a black handgun got out of his vehicle and aggressively confronted the driver of another vehicle. The victim in that vehicle was driving a 2000’s Chevy truck with two orange KTM motorcycles in the bed. Officers would like to talk with that victim as that victim has not yet come forward.
